This qualification is designed for learners wanting to specifically develop their skill in being able to provide body massage treatments in the beauty therapy industry. This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Swedish body massage treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers massage techniques that can be used on the face and body, as well as providing the related knowledge and understanding required to perform the massage treatments, in particular the anatomy and physiology of the body.

This is short training course and the qualification is delivered over 6 weeks, with learners attending 1 day per week. These courses are shorter, focused and fast to complete, making them perfect for therapists looking to upskill, expand their treatment list or work towards a full qualification at their own pace. Each individual unit is delivered as a shorter, intensive course with flexible part-time study options designed to suit busy learners. It will include 6 days of expert-led training  – covering all relevant theory, classroom learning and hands-on practical training for each treatment.
