Each individual unit is delivered as a shorter, intensive course with flexible part-time study options designed to suit busy learners. They include: practical hands on training, theory and assignments, assessments and portfolio completion and full tutor support. These units are ideal for therapists who want recognised qualifications without committing to a full 20-week programme, ideal to build your skills your way, completing individual units one at a time or combine multiple units as part of a customised learning pathway.
Massage Course Options
VTCT Skills Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage | £1080
This qualification is designed for learners wanting to specifically develop their skill in being able to provide body massage treatments in the beauty therapy industry. This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide body massage treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers massage techniques that can be used on the face and body, as well as providing the related knowledge and understanding required to perform the massage treatments, in particular the anatomy and physiology of the body.

- You will be required to do home-based learning to practise skills and complete homework tasks.

This qualification is designed for learners wanting to specifically develop their skills in being able to provide Indian head massage. This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide these treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. The main skill the learner will perform is Indian head massage including the use of classical Indian head massage movements, massage mediums and adapting the treatment to meet the clients’ specific treatment needs. It is a popular treatment across salons and spas.

The VTCT Skills Level 3 Certificate in Beauty Therapy Studies (Massage) is a complete vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as a Massage Therapist on an employed or self-employed basis. This course is also ideal to build on skills from knowledge and understanding gained at Level 2 for Beauty Therapists wanting to progress in their career in the beauty industry. It will cover advanced body massage skills, anatomy and physiology, consultation techniques and professional treatment standards required for higher-level employment.
This is a flexible part-time training course and the qualification is delivered over 20 weeks, with learners attending 1 day per week term time only. This part-time structure allows you to expand on your technical skills at a steady, professional pace to become a Massage Therapist around your other commitments.
