This is a single award unit qualification about applying, maintaining and removing LED gel polish products to nails. Throughout this course, learners will gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide a gel polish treatment throughout manicure and pedicure services.

This short course is for learners wanting to begin to work in the beauty therapy industry or to upskill on existing beauty skills to provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments.  This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide lash and brow treatments allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers the use of consultation techniques to establish the treatment and outcomes required by the client.  You will need to be able to provide eyebrow shaping and artificial lash treatments using a variety of work techniques. You will also need to be able to tint eyebrows and lashes for clients with different colouring characteristics.

This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide waxing services to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers waxing techniques to include removal of hair on the face and body using hot and cool wax methods as well as the knowledge and understanding required to perform waxing treatments safely and effectively.

This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide facial skincare treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers facial skincare skills to help improve and maintain a range of skin conditions using a variety of facial treatments allowing learners to specialise in skincare.

This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide facial electrical treatments for clients and improving face and skin condition using direct high frequency, galvanic, EMS, micro-current, lymphatic drainage and micro-dermabrasion equipment. It will allow learners to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis, particularly for those wanting to progress in their career.

This qualification is designed for learners wanting to specifically develop their skill in being able to provide body massage treatments in the beauty therapy industry. This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide body massage treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. It covers massage techniques that can be used on the face and body, as well as providing the related knowledge and understanding required to perform the massage treatments, in particular the anatomy and physiology of the body.

This qualification is designed for learners wanting to specifically develop their skills in being able to provide Indian head massage. This short course will allow learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide these treatments to clients allowing them to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal qualities for a successful performance in the beauty therapy industry, on an employed or self-employed basis. The main skill the learner will perform is Indian head massage including the use of classical Indian head massage movements, massage mediums and adapting the treatment to meet the clients’ specific treatment needs. It is a popular treatment across salons and spas.
